Painter and graphic artist Viktor Permyakov uses a wide range of artistic and stylistic devices.

He graduated from Sverdlovsk Art School and the famous “Academy of Arts ” in Leningrad.  Being a student he already started to receive awards at students’ exhibitions.

Viktor Permyakov has participated in over 100 art exhibitions. His creations have become part of collections of Russian Museum, Pushkin Museum, Dostoyevsky Museum, Anna Akhmatova Museum, State Museum of History of St. Petersburg and St Petersburg's Museum of Urban Sculpture, The National Library of Russia, museums in Belgium, Bulgaria, Germany, Italy, Canada, Czech Republic and other countries.

In 2007 Viktor Permyakov became a laureate of the Open Competition among 135 painters of sea-scapes from Russia and Switzerland. He especially likes to paint St. Petersburg and Russian North.

The language of symbols he uses very often leads to the play of images, which are sometimes ghostly, sometimes are full of colors. Eternal beauty, harmony and spirituality are the essence of his artistic works.

Viktor Permyakov’ multidimensionality is reflected in his poetry and philosophical writings.  During the opening ceremony of the exhibition which will take place in Izborsk on April 3 at 4 p.m.  the artist will present his new book of poems “The Space of Time”.

The exhibition is organized in the framework of “The Year of Literature in Russia”.
