The Museum of History of the town of Pechory invites everybody to visit the exhibition ofpaintings by Anna Kalashnikova “My Pechory” (Pechory, Mezhdunarodnaya str., 3).

Anna Kalashnikova’s paintings reflect the everyday life of people who lived in Pechory district in 1920-1940-s. The paintings have been created in various techniques: oil, watercolor, ink, pastel. Looking at the works of Anna Kalashnikova we encounter different people who used to live in Pechory area: tradesmen at trade fairs, Russian and Seto peasants, their children, monks, as well as wonderful landscapes and orthodox holy places.

Anna Kalashnikova was greatly interested in the traditional dress of people who lived in Pechory district. Therefore looking at her paintings it is easy to track the similarities and the differences in traditional Seto and Russian national dress.

The artist was born in Pskov, but she liked to visit different villages of Pechory district where she found inspiration.

We will be happy to see you in our museum!
