The participants of the international festival  of arts and crafts "Finno-Ugric Transit" will join the Festival "Setomaa. Family Meetings". The international festival "Finno-Ugric Transit" is a long term project implemented by the branch of State Russian House of folk crafts named after V. Polenov "The Finno-Ugric Cultural Center of the Russian Federation".

In the framework of every two year long transit cycle, concerts are held in different regions of the Russian Federation, the ceries of concerts ending with a gala concert.


Performance groups and solo singers will give a concert in Sigovo Village on August 28. The guests of the festival will enjoy modern arrangements of folk music as well as singing in different languages. The guests of the festival will also be able to meet designers who create collections of clothes and jewelry in ethno style  from the Republic of Karelia, Komi Republic, Mari El Republic, the Republic of Mordovia, the Republic of Bashkortostan, Udmurt Republic, Komi-Permyak Okrug of Perm Krai, Leningrad and Pskov Region as well as Yamal-Nenets autonomous area.

Moreover on August 28 the ceremony of bringing of the  ground to the Sacred Hill, the symbol of unity of Russian people, will be held. The members of delegations will lay handfuls of the ground brought by them from their regions to the Hill. The participants of the festival will also go sightseeing,  getting acquainted with ancient Izborsk and its area.
