State historical-architectural, landscape and natural museum-preserve «Izborsk»

Izborsk State Museum-Reserve of History, Architecture and Land will take part in a youth ethno-cultural camp “The dialogue of cultures” which will be organized from September 26 to October 2, 2016 in Ethnomir (Ethnoworld) open air ethnographic museum, located in Kaluga Region. The event is organized by the Federal Agency for Ethnic Affairs in the framework of the implementation of the Federal Target Program entitled “Strengthening the unity of the Russian nation and ethno-cultural development of the peoples of Russia for the period of 2014-2020”. The Camp’s program is aimed at supporting youth initiatives in enhancing intercultural dialogue, developing ethno-cultural diversity and at involving active talented young people in the strategic decision making for the country.

Master-classes in cross cultural communication, creative etho-industry development, the art of projects’ presentations will be organized for the participants of the camp.

Elena Variksoo, a senior researcher of Seto people homestead museum in Sigovo village which is part of Izborsk State Museum-Reserve will share the experience of the work of the homestead museum - the only state museum of the small-numbered Seto people in Russia. She will also take part in the events of the ethnic and cross national program of the camp.
